History of the Grande Mosque of Paris
Built in the 1920s to honor 70,000 Muslim soldiers who died in WWI, the Grand Mosque of Paris showcases Moroccan-style architecture. It was constructed as gratitude from the French government.
The entrance opens to a mosaic-adorned courtyard with a central fountain, while the prayer hall features an ornate wooden dome and intricate mosaics.
An oasis of peace and tranquility in the middle of the city. The garden has a central fountain surrounded by flowers and plants.
