Is it worth visiting London as a 1-day Trip from Paris?
I love this city; I lived there for six months and have been back many more times. You can have many hours to explore London when your travel by train.
– From Paris: departs from Gare du Nord station (the metro, lines 4 and 5, or the RER suburban trains)– From London: departs from St. Pancras Station International.
- Most flights from Paris to London depart from Charles de Gaulle airport. Use the regional RER train's B (blue) line for 11,40€.
- Some flights depart from Orly airport. Use the OrlyBus at Denfert-Rochereau to go to the airport for 10,50€.
- Arrive at Heathrow airport
- The cheapest way to get from Heathrow to the center of London is by subway. A single ticket costs £5.90
- Gatwick airport is another option chosen by low-cost airlines.
- Take the Gatwick Express train. The trip costs £19.90 each way.
It serves as the official residence of the British monarchy. The experience of walking around its exterior and watching the changing of the guard is enjoyed year-round.
The Tower of London is an iconic historic castle approximately 1,000 years old. It currently houses the British Crown Jewels and can be visited inside.
Some of its best-known pieces are the Parthenon marble from Athens, the Rosetta Stone in the Egyptian room, and the most important Moai found outside Easter Island.
